Old Town... New Town... Edinburrrgh

Basically Edinburgh is divided into Old Town, New Town and the West End. The vintage shop that I wanted to visit- Godiva is located in Old Town, a bit far from the other shopping area, but was worth the walk. As well as the usual second hand vintage clothing, the small boutique in housed creations and collections by emerging designers - a little paradise for local designers/fashionistas. Other places I visited include K1 Yarns Knitting Boutique and Armstrongs Vintage.

this summer...

Kaki for fast fashion!!

Inspired by my first collection, I made this for a J Model Management event in a more ready to wear approach rather than my usual style. Baby blue gingham jersey dress- 100% cotton (super soft!)

Styling work published in June's I am Fashion Magazine !!! Unbridaled

This time as a stylist...

Collaborating with Xanthe again! =) In charge of the role as a stylist this time -really it's my first time using other designer's creation and working over them. I've never thought I'll be interested in becoming a stylist for other people (apart from styling my own things of course) but since it's asked by my favorite photographer Xanthe I thought I'll give it a go.

30 yrs of Japanese Fashion

I went to see the Future Beauty exhibition in Barbican (the same place where I had my graduation ceremony! This place brings back memories, just that I'm all by myself this time). This is the first exhibition in Europe to ever showcase avant-garde Japanese fashion which began in the 1980's when Yohji Yamamoto made his Paris debut. The Japanese introduced the "concealing rather than revealing the figure" concept and turned fashion into art. Unproportional and oversized had proved to have shocked the world at the time. My favorite in the exhibition must be the white bridal dress made from wading by Rei Kawakubo/Commes Des Garcons. Featured designers in the exhibition include Issey Miyake, Yohji Yamamoto, Jun Takahashi, Tao Kurihara, Junya Watanabe and Rei Kawakubo.

shoot in london

A long awaited shoot with the young, beautiful, and talented photographer Jude =)  This shoot was inspired by an image I saw in a Chinese magazine I bought a while back the last time I was in Hong Kong called Little Thing. I tried to recreate the dreamy theme with a dolly interpretation. The Cath Kidston floral wallpaper was a must! Was very happy with the result, thanks Jude.
